They're similar in some aspects like the battle system's quite unique and differs from most games, but they're not exactly related to each other. Some characters such as the Archangel practically uses the same art and almost didn't change, but other than the details where you have to squint, they're completely different games just made by the same company. xD But yeah, the artwork is pretty~ ^o^

Well, here's a description I found from another community:
"Blog crews are similar in concept to claiming communities in that each person is entitled a claim to his/her favorite character/object/etc., pending availability. They differ in that they form a collective clique of blogs and double as a resource for finding friends with similar interests. Many also have membership cards to display the claim and get the word out to other potential members."
So it's like a claim! :D
